Following Iran’s attack, German Interior Minister said that the protection of Israeli and Jewish institutions has the highest priority

After Iran’s major attack on Israel, German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser promised efforts to ensure the security of Jewish and Israeli facilities in the country.

“The protection of Israeli and Jewish institutions in Germany has the highest priority,” said Faeser.

“We are monitoring very closely whether this escalation has an impact on the security situation in Germany.”

Faeser strongly condemned the Iranian attack. “The Iranian regime’s unprecedented and extremely dangerous attack on the state of Israel cannot be justified by anything.”

Since Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7th, the threat to Israel and the threat to Jews have become much clearer than before: “That’s why the protective measures were increased even further. The federal and state security authorities are in close contact in order to continually assess the threat situation and take the necessary measures. Germany is in close contact with its international partners.”
