The Madrid City Council will award the City’s Medal of Honour to the local Jewish community.

According to the City Council, the “Jewish Community of Madrid, since its foundation in 1917, is the main Jewish institution in the capital”. The award is bestowed in recognition of its dynamic nature, inclusive spirit, social initiatives, substantial presence within the city, and its pivotal role in enhancing its warmth and inclusivity.
