FCJE considers that recognising the Palestinian state is a reward for Hamas terrorism

The Federation of Spanish Jewish Communities (FCJE) issued a statement condemning the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state by the current Spanish government.

“The FCJE, the institution officially representing Spanish Jews, believes that while there are hostages kidnapped in Gaza about whom nothing is known, recognizing the Palestinian state constitutes a reward for the terrorist organization Hamas.

Spain’s unilateral recognition of the Palestinian state does not contribute to resolving the release of the hostages, nor does it offer a solution to the conflict between Israel and Palestinian organizations, nor does it promote peace in the region.

Spain should act in concert with its other European partners to secure the immediate release of the hostages, facilitate conflict resolution, and achieve lasting peace.”
