A ski resort in Switzerland refuses to rent sleds to Jews

A restaurant at the Pischa ski resort in Davos, Switzerland, banned Jews from renting sleds by posting a message in Hebrew on the front: “Due to various sad incidents, including the theft of a sled, we no longer rent of sports equipment to our Jewish brothers. Thank you for your understanding.”

Officials also said Jewish customers sometimes “forget” equipment on the slopes.

The Swiss Association of Jewish Communities (SIG) has decided to file a complaint: “The fact that such a letter is hung publicly is shocking,” declared general secretary Jonathan Kreutner. “The content is highly discriminatory and antisemitic.”

The police then opened an investigation for discrimination and incitement to hatred.
