Door of Jewish couple’s home set on fire in the 20th arrondissement in Paris

The entrance door of an apartment in Paris belonging to a Jewish couple was set on fire.

It has been learned that a man residing in the building was arrested and taken into custody after voluntarily presenting himself to the police at the scene, just a few minutes after the incident.

The man, born in 1998, was subsequently taken to the psychiatric facility at the Paris police headquarters.

An investigation has been launched by the Paris prosecutor’s office for the crime of religious vandalisation using dangerous means against individuals.
