Fence of the Jewish Community Center in Helsinki adorned with flowers

In the presence of Yaron Nadbornik, President of the Central Council of Jewish Communities in Finland, the country’s EJC affiliate, the fence of the Jewish Community Center in Helsinki was adorned with flowers by young members of the Helsinki Orthodox Church.

The event was intended to show solidarity with Helsinki Jewish Community after the incidents of November 9, when antisemitic stickers were found outside the community gate and all over Scandinavian Jewish Communities places.

The Finnish Foreign Minister, Pekka Haavisto, the Israeli Ambassador to Finland, Dov Segev-Steinberg and Father Heikki Huttunen attended to the event.

In addition, young people from Islamic, Catholic and Evangelical-Lutheran congregations were invited.
