Pro-Palestinian activists attempted to block an event organised by the Union of French Jewish Students (UEJF) at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. They carried a banner stating: “Zionists, fascists out of our campuses!”.
The event was about the rights of Israeli and Iranian women and their fight for freedom and fundamental rights.
“Despite their attempts to silence us, and thanks to the admirable intervention of the administration of Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, the conference was able to proceed,” said the UEJF in a tweet.
“We will continue to amplify the voices of women who are fighting against all forms of obscurantism.”
