EJC delegation held high-level meetings in Israel to express their solidarity and support with the Jewish state

An EJC delegation consisting of President Dr Ariel Muzicant and Members of the EJC Executive Committee held a series of bilateral meetings in Israel with high-level politicians and Israeli organisations alongside the American Jewish Committee (AJC), headed by its CEO Ted Deutch.

The delegation travelled to Israel to express their full solidarity and unconditional support for the Jewish state in its fight against the terrorist organisation Hamas. EJC expressed its readiness to help the Israeli people in all possible ways.

Participants held meetings with Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana and American Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew, among other relevant stakeholders and partners.

The members of the EJC had the possibility to discuss with Israeli politicians about the rise of antisemitism in Europe after the Hamas massacre of October 7th and the current state of Jewish communities and organisations on the European continent.

A commitment to reinforce even more the collaboration between the EJC and Israeli ministries, especially with the Foreign Ministry, was expressed by all.

The EJC delegation also had a very moving meeting with hostages’ families and joined their calls for the immediate release of their loved ones.
