A man was stabbed in the 14th arrondissement of Paris while he was with his partner. The victim was walking on the street when someone came up to him and allegedly uttered several antisemitic remarks before stabbing him six times in the back.

The Paris public prosecutor’s office confirmed that it had “opened an investigation into the offense of attempted murder on grounds of religion, following a knife attack that occurred on February 12, 2024.”

According to the victim, the perpetrator was obsessed with the Jewish faith. He even received several threats, malicious phone calls and antisemitic insults from the suspect, prompting him to file a complaint.
