According to a CRIF survey, 72% of French people consider the rise in antisemitic acts to be a “serious threat” to society as a whole

The Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF) presented findings from an Ifop survey on “French perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its impact on France – wave 3”.

On October 27, 2023, and October 6, 2023, CRIF had already disclosed results from two Ifop surveys on “Perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict post the October 7 terrorist attacks”.

Six months after the Hamas attacks, a majority of French citizens continue to support Israel’s goal of eliminating Hamas. Additionally, 66% of French respondents believe that any ceasefire should be contingent upon the release of hostages.

The French also widely continue to demand a ban on pro-Palestinian demonstrations. 73% of French people surveyed are not in favor of continuing pro-Palestinian demonstrations in France, because anti-Republican and antisemitic remarks were made during some of these gatherings.
