Moshe Kantor, the initiator of the Kantor Center and president of the European Jewish Congress, warned in a statement that the pandemic may have further ripple effects on anti-Semitism.

The significant rise in extremism and the widespread increase in antisemitic conspiracy over the last year could have profound effects on Jewish communities in a post-Pandemic world, Dr. Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress, said at the release of the Annual Report on Antisemitism Worldwide 2020, by the Kantor Center at Tel Aviv University.

“We have a duty to ensure that Holocaust survivors are able to live their last years in dignity and in the company of their loved ones,” said EJC President Dr. Moshe Kantor.

Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress called on the Member states of the European Union to ensure that Holocaust survivors have access to a Covid-19 vaccine as quickly as possible.

“We have a responsibility to prevent the spread of hate speech and conspiracy theories, and I am pleased that the European Union and member states are finally addressing this new threat by recognizing that antisemitism needs to be fought across all policy areas." said EJC President.
