The European Parliament president Josep Borrell Fontelles met with European Jewish Congress (EJC) President Pierre Besnainou and Secretary General Serge Cwajgenbaum.
As part of regular co-ordination sessions between the EJC and EP leadership, the parties discussed issues of key importance to European Jewry.
Based in Brussels, the European Jewish Congress is the representative umbrella organisation of national Jewish communities. It federates democratically elected national Jewish community organisations in over 40 European countries uniting 2.5 million Jews across the continent.
