EJC President Dr. Moshe Kantor was awarded the French Legion of honour by President Sarkozy

President of the European Jewish Congress, Dr. Moshe Kantor was awarded the French”Légion d’honneur” by President Sarkozy.

Dr. Kantor received the award, presented by Ambassador Philippe Etienne, Permanent Representative of the French Republic to the European Union, for working towards the rights of minorities, promoting interfaith relations, leading the fight against racism and antisemitism and pushing for a more tolerant Europe.
