MEP Alice Teodorescu Måwe launches initiative called “Be a Mensch” against antisemitism

MEP and Chair of the Working Group Against Antisemitism (WGAS) Alice Teodorescu Måwe launched a wearable pin featuring a Star of David and the message “Var en Mensch,” aiming to draw attention to the need to protect and foster Jewish life in Europe.

As the MEP wrote on X: “It says a lot about Europe when Jews, 80 years after the Holocaust, leave their homes out of fear and insecurity. When they feel that safety and freedom are greater in Israel than in Stockholm, Paris, London, or Berlin.”

“It is all of our responsibility – as decision-makers and lawmakers, but above all as fellow human beings – to do everything in our power to reverse this development. To remind of the importance of action, I have created a pin that I will wear”, she added.
