Biden administration to keep U.S. embassy in Jerusalem

U.S. President Joe Biden will not reverse the landmark decision by the Trump administration to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The U.S. embassy will also be maintained there, secretary of state-designate Antony Blinken confirmed.

Asked by Senator Ted Cruz at a confirmation hearing if the U.S. would continue Trump’s policies on both points, Blinken said without hesitation, “Yes and yes.”
