Israel inaugurates its embassy in Estonia

The Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in Tallinn to inaugurate the Embassy of Israel in Estonia.

Minister Tsahkna called the event “a historic milestone” in Estonian-Israeli relations. The minister reaffirmed Estonia’s support for a two-state solution and Israel’s right to self-defence, while condemning all forms of terrorism. He also highlighted “the great potential to expand cooperation in the fields of innovation and cybersecurity.”

“I believe in Estonia, I believe in the future of Estonia, and the relationship between Israel and Estonia”, affirmed Minister Sa’ar. The Israeli foreign minister added that both countries have much in common, as they are small nations that face many threats, they are democracies, and they both have important startup sectors.
