Heartening Photo shows Jewish and Muslim emergency responders taking joint prayer break

One of the enduring images of the coronavirus was captured in Israel on Wednesday, March 25th as a camera caught the remarkable sight of two emergency workers — one a Jew, the other a Muslim — standing alongside their ambulance vehicle and praying in their respective traditions.

The image was shared by Nir Dvori, a journalist with Israel’s Channel 2 broadcaster.

The historic event, titled “Remembering the Holocaust, Fighting Antisemitism,” was organised by the World Holocaust Forum Foundation in cooperation with Yad Vashem, under the auspices of the President of the State of Israel.
