Arutz Sheva : European Jews: UN a Refuge for Tyrans

The European Jewish Congress has slammed the United Nations for its willingness to allow Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to address the General Assembly. “There is no other organization with such an august reputation that allows vile propaganda and lies from a dictator to be propagated in this manner” said EJC President Dr. Moshe Kantor Kantor.

“The United Nations has sadly demonstrated once again that it has allowed itself to become the last refuge of tyrants” Kantor continued. “As Europeans we are appalled that hate, racism and intolerance have a platform of this kind.”

The EJC called on European leaders to walk out during Ahmadinejad’s speech, and to reduce cooperation with the General Assembly until the UN takes action to fight hate speech within the plenum.
