A BBC journalist who tweeted that “Hitler was right” has now left her job following the conclusion of an internal probe.
Tala Halawa, formerly a Palestine Specialist for BBC monitoring, wrote in 2014 that “Israel is more Nazi than Hitler” and that the Israeli Defence Force should “go to hell”.
The antisemitic tweets were posted prior to Ms Halawa joining the BBC. After her tweets came to light, the BBC launched an investigation.
A senior corporation source confirmed to the Jewish Chronicle that the investigation had concluded, adding: “This individual no longer works for the BBC.”
