Second attack on Jewish resident of Djerba in less than two weeks

A young Jewish woman in her twenties was strangled and assaulted by two men, near her home on the island of Djerba in Tunisia.

Luckily for the woman, a passerby noticed the incident and managed to get the two individuals, who remain unidentified to flee the scene.

The previous week, a 10-year-old Jewish boy had been assaulted in the same neighbourhood.

The attack took place in broad daylight. When the police arrived at the scene, the police argued that it had been an attempted robbery.
