The number of antisemitic incidents recorded by CIDI in 2025 fell to 281, marking a decrease of approximately 33 per cent compared to 2024, when 421 incidents were registered.
The decline was observed across all categories. Nevertheless, the National Coordinator for Combating Antisemitism (NCAB) warned that the figure remains alarmingly high, noting that the number of recorded incidents was consistently lower in the years preceding 7 October 2023.
Eddo Verdoner, National Coordinator for Combating Antisemitism (NCAB), stated: “For years, we have recorded hundreds of antisemitic incidents annually directed at a small community. The danger is that we slowly become accustomed to figures that are unacceptable — that hatred becomes the new normal.”
The figures also point to concerning trends. The number of antisemitic incidents occurring during demonstrations rose sharply, from one incident in 2024 to ten in 2025, including at immigration protests and gatherings related to the war in Gaza. While incidents involving verbal abuse declined by 43 per cent, CIDI warned that many Jews are increasingly reluctant to display their Jewish identity publicly.
