New report on Antisemitism in 2020 in German-speaking Switzerland

The Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities SIG, in collaboration with the Foundation against Racism and Antisemitism GRA, published the report on Antisemitism 2020 in German-speaking Switzerland.

According to SIG : “The findings show that the number of antisemitic incidents, both physical and verbal, remains at a low level. Online, there is a revival of antisemitic conspiracy theories, which are themselves, and this is new, closely linked to the coronavirus pandemic.

Generally speaking, the latter serves as a trigger for antisemitism. In particular, many people with antisemitic opinions and antisemitic messages have been identified in the entourage of “corona rebels” and in group chats on Telegram. We also consider the increasing instrumentalization of the Holocaust by the “corona rebels” to be very problematic”.
