Swedish Jews demand SD party to distance itself from official who disrespected Anne Frank

Official Council of Swedish Jewish Communities President Lena Posner Körösi made a statement demanding the leadership of the Sweden Democrats (SD) party to distance itself from Rebecka Fallenkvist’s degrading comments towards Anne Frank.

In an Instagram post that has now been deleted, Fallenkvist, a 26-year-old head of television programming for the Sweden Democrats, called Anne Frank “immoral”.

“Fallenkvist expresses a remarkable disrespect for Anne Frank as a Holocaust victim. Normalizing a treacherous language and shamelessly trivializing the suffering of Holocaust victims is indecent and undignified, all the more serious from an elected politician who enjoys great influence” said President Lena Posner Körösi.

“The kind of rhetoric Fallenkvist expresses stands in stark contrast to Sweden’s commitment to remembering the Holocaust. The Official Council of Swedish Jewish Communities welcomes a clear and immediate disassociation from the SD’s party leadership.”
