Tàrrega will inaugurate a Museum on Catalan Judaism

Tàrrega City Council will inaugurate  a new cultural facility that will consolidate the capital of l’Urgell as one of the dissemination centers about Catalan Judaism.

The Casa del Call, an uninhabited building in the old town that has been the subject of a careful adaptation and museumization proces, will host the Cultural Centre.

The Museum will become a key piece for interpreting the Jewish past of the medieval town of Tàrrega and will complete the findings made in the Roquetes necropolis.

The building will finally be opened to the public under the name Avraham Shalom House, as it is the place where this Jewish physician and philosopher of Tàrrega resided.
