Spanish police arrest a woman for insulting and assaulting a Jewish person in Madrid

The Spanish National Police arrested a woman for allegedly insulting and assaulting another person whom she identified as belonging to the Jewish community during a pro-Palestinian demonstration held in downtown Madrid.

According to the Madrid Police Headquarters, the arrest took place after the victim filed a complaint.

The demonstration where the incident occurred took place in downtown Madrid, and the alleged assailant was participating in it.

At one point during the march, she identified another woman as being Jewish and insulted and assaulted her.

Following the victim’s complaint, the Spanish National Police launched an investigation, gathered witness statements, and located and arrested the suspect on charges of hate crimes, damage, and assault.
