Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain condemns attack by pro-Palestinian activist against journalist Pilar Rahola

The Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain (FCJE) has condemned “without reservations the violent and vandalic action” suffered by Catalan journalist and writer Pilar Rahola during a conference in La Garriga in Barcelona.

“The FCJE defends freedom of expression and denounces violent acts that seek to silence it. We offer our full support and solidarity to Pilar Rahola.”

A group of activists threw red paint at Pilar Rahola to criticise her stance in favour of Israel in the Middle Eastern conflict.

The protest occurred while Rahola was participating in an event in La Garriga (Barcelona).
