Two far-right Slovak MPs charged for racist incitement

Two Slovak MPs from the far-right Our Slovakia party were charged on Saturday with racist incitement for comments made against Jews, Muslims, Roma and immigrants.

Stanislav Mizik was charged after he published a « list of people of Jewish origin and admirers of Roma » on his social network. His office in Parliament was also seized by police on Friday.

Another Our Slovakia MP, Milan Mazurek, was charged in relation to Holocaust denial comments he recently made.

Our Slovakia received 8 percent of the votes in the country’s last general election. It notably admires the Nazi collaborationist wartime Slovakian state of Jozef Tiso, under which tens of thousands of the country’s Jews were deported to Nazi death camps.
