Romanian Jewish leaders discuss community’s response to the pandemic

In a series of video interviews, leaders of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania (FEDROM), the country’s EJC affiliate, discuss the situation faced by Romanian Jews during the current pandemic.

Dr. Aurel Vainer and Ec. Ovidiu Bănescu, respectively President and Vice-President of FEDROM, addressed the measures taken by the Federation in order to ensure the protection of its members, with particular attention to the elderly, as well as maintaining tradition and continuing Jewish life in the face of unprecedented challenges. With resilience and courage, the Romanian Jewish community rose to these challenges, informed by strong values.
