Jewish community of Montenegro joins the European Jewish Congress

The European Jewish Congress (EJC) welcomed the Jewish community of Montenegro as its newest member at its General Assembly held online on October 27, 2020.

EJC President Dr. Moshe Kantor and EJC Executive Vice-President and CEO Raya Kalenova warmly welcomed the president of the Jewish community of Montenegro, Nina Ofner Bokan, to the EJC family.

Ms. Ofner Bokan addressed the EJC General Assembly, introduced the community, one of the youngest in the world and one of the smallest in Europe, and expressed the wish of strengthening ties with Europe’s Jewish communities within the framework of the EJC.
