Luxembourg will mark the 75th anniversary on Sunday of the first deportation of Jews from Luxembourg to the Litzmannstadt ghetto in Nazi-occupied Poland.

The ceremony will take place at Luxembourg City’s central railway station in the presence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Mars Di Bartolomeo.

From this site, 323 Jews were gathered by the Gestapo in order to be deported to the ghetto in Litzmannstadt, today the Polish city of Lodz.
