On January 29 and for the sixth time the Union of Italian Jewish Communities organised a race in Milan to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
The event is called ‘Run for Mem’ and included a 12-kilometer route starting from Piazza Edmond Safra, where the city’s Shoah Memorial is located, and finishing in Via della Guastalla in front of the Synagogue.
This sports event was proudly supported by the European Jewish Congress, among other organisations.
Based in Brussels, the European Jewish Congress is the representative umbrella organisation of national Jewish communities. It federates democratically elected national Jewish community organisations in over 40 European countries uniting 2.5 million Jews across the continent.
