Italian Rabbi threatened and verbally assaulted in antisemitic attack

The rabbi Haim Fabrizio Cipriani was insulted and threatened with death by a 58-year-old man wielding a screwdriver, solely because he was Jewish and wearing a kippah while walking on the street.

Rav Haim Fabrizio Cipriani commented, “It was a really bad experience because in the city, especially in Genoa, we face a hostile climate of hatred. What happened today is a clear demonstration.”
