Italian Referees Association adopts IHRA definition of antisemitism

The Italian Referees Association (AIA) adhered to the initiative of the Italian Football Association (FIGC) for the fight against antisemitism.

Aongside awareness-raising and communication activities on antisemitism issues, the organisation of visits to Platform 2 and other “places of memory” for members and fan and collaborations with media and social networks network, concrete actions are envisaged, including the inclusion in the companies’ code of ethics of an explicit reference to the definition of antisemitism elaborated by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).

The AIA will widely disseminate the agreeement by transmitting it to all of its 207 Sections present in the area.

The Italian Referees Association declares itself available to collaborate with the FIGC and the Federal Components for the implementation of all the initiatives that may be undertaken to strengthen the fight against antisemitism.
