The new temporary exhibition entitled “Life – The History of Csorna Jewry” can be visited at the Csorna Museum until July 31, 2022.
With the help of the Moson Jewish Community, the exhibition consists of two units: the copper engraving series of János Kass “Jewish Holidays” and the memories, everyday life and history of the former Jewish Community of Csorna.
The copper engraving series of János Kass and the Jewish sacred objects, he illustrates the life and celebrations of this once colorful and cohesive religious community.
The exhibition closes with the tragic events of 1944/45.
Nevertheless, the exhibition gives a message of hope, with the help of the children of the survivors – who, although they have not lived in Csorna for a long time, they feel part of the city of their ancestors.
The exhibition is accompanied by a pedagogical session, which can be applied for by e-mail [email protected] or by phone (96 / 261-527).
Depending on the age and readiness of the target group, the museum pedagogical sessions are based on the presentation of the Jewish holiday.
The exhibition is specifically recommended as a complement to the lessons in theology and civic education.
