MAZSIHISZ President Dr Andor Grósz: “The Jewish New Year carries the promise of hope and renewal”

An event in celebration of Rosh Hashanah was organised by the Federation of Jewish Communities in Hungary (MAZSIHISZ) at the Rumbach Street Synagogue in Budapest.

The gathering brought together representatives from various partner churches, leaders of the Hungarian Jewish community, politicians, and other distinguished guests.

The event featured the traditional blowing of the shofar, led by Chief Rabbi Tamás Verő, creating a solemn and reflective atmosphere.

The celebration included a New Year’s address by National Chief Rabbi Róbert Frölich, along with engaging performances by actress Jordán Adél, the Hot Jazz Band, and the Sirim choir from the Lauder School, conducted by Kata Rév.

The event encapsulated the spirit of renewal and resilience, fostering a sense of unity among attendees as they welcomed the new year together.
