Jewish cemetery vandalised in southern Hungary

Tombstones of the Jewish cemetery of Kiskunfélegyháza, in southern Hungary, have been vandalised and severely damaged, the MAZSIHISZ, the Federation of Jewish Communities in Hungary – the country’s EJC affiliate – said.

Mazsihisz has filed a criminal complaint with the police.

The federation estimated the damage as costing between 300,000 forints and 2.5 million forints (EUR 850-7,370).
