Youngster insulted with antisemitic slurs and beaten in Berlin

A 23-year-old man was subjected to antisemitic insults and physical assault at the Südkreuz S-Bahn station in the Schöneberg district of Berlin.

According to police reports, the incident began when an unknown individual made derogatory remarks about the victim’s tattoo, which was not described further.

In retaliation, the 23-year-old threw a burger he was holding at the assailant’s face and fled the scene. The attacker pursued him, reportedly striking him several times on the head.

After the victim fell to the ground, the assailant kicked him and stole his mobile phone and cash before escaping. The police are now investigating the incident, with the state protection unit of the State Criminal Police Office leading the inquiry.
