Stefanie Hubig: “I want children of Jewish faith to feel comfortable and safe in Rhineland-Palatinate”

The Minister of Education of Rhineland-Palatinate Stefanie Hubig is campaigning for consistent action in suspected cases of antisemitism in schools.

“We know that there is a far too high proportion of antisemitic attitudes in society,” according to Hubig.

“It’s really important to me that we take consistent action against it. I want children of the Jewish faith to feel comfortable and safe in Rhineland-Palatinate.”

“I also hear that many children do not say that they are Jews,” said Hubig. “That’s something I don’t want in schools.”

“That is why there are training courses for teachers to recognize subliminal antisemitism and to react to it in and outside of the classroom.”
