Holocaust memorial desecrated in Germany

A Holocaust memorial in the German city of Hannover has been desecrated.

Last week, vandals destroyed all the spotlights and smashed the thick glass – presumably by using a hammer – at the memorial in the city’s Opera Square.

The memorial honours some 1,300 Jews killed by the Nazis.
