A 19-year-old Jewish man was assaulted while riding a bus in Savigny-sur-Orge, Essonne.
The victim was reportedly targeted by three individuals who began to insult and threaten him.
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. when the victim boarded the bus. The suspects allegedly told him, “If you want to go home, move over, you’re Jewish,” among other threatening remarks. Following a verbal confrontation, the suspects approached the young man, prompting him to exit the bus.
As he left, the suspects attempted to strike him, but a bystander intervened, allowing the victim to escape to a nearby synagogue for safety. A complaint has been filed with local authorities, and the suspects have not yet been apprehended.
The incident highlights ongoing concerns about antisemitism in France, as similar acts of violence against Jewish individuals have been reported in recent months.
