Largest medieval Jewish cemetery in France discovered in Châteauroux

France’s national archeological institute (INRAP) announced that it had discovered a medeival Jewish cemetery in Châteauroux in central France.

The burial ground contains 46 tombs dating from the 12th to the 14th centuries. It is the largest Jewish medieval cemetery so far discovered in France.
