Holocaust denier Alain Soral indicted again for calling for a “fascist revolution”

Holocaust denier Alain Soral, who has multiple convictions against him, has been charged for hate speech, after calling for a “fascist revolution” on his website.

The Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF), the country’s EJC affiliate, reacted on Twitter: “The antisemitic Holocaust denier Alain Soral was arrested last night and taken into police custody. The sowers of hate must be condemned. Alain Soral must not escape justice.”

Soral is being prosecuted for “public insult on account of origin or membership or non-membership of a particular ethnic group, nation, race or religion”.

Soral has already been sentenced in Bobigny in 2019 to 24 months in prison, including 18 years in prison, for “racial insult, provocation and incitement to racial hatred”, then a few months later in Paris to one year in prison, this time with an arrest warrant, for contesting the existence.
