French minister voices indignation after antisemitic inscriptions found on Paris shops

French Interior Minister Gérard Collomb voiced his “deep indignation” after the discovery on Wednesday of antisemitic inscriptions on the front of two shops in Créteil, a suburb south-east of Paris, and on the door of a building in the 14th district of the capital.

Five swastikas were painted in red on the shuttered blinds of the Promo Stock and the local branch of the Hyper Casher kosher supermarket chain store in Créteil and on the door of the building.

Gérard Collomb strongly condemns these acts and wishes to address his support to the residents targeted by this attack as well as the Jewish community in France,” said a statement from the Interior Ministry.
