The Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF), the country’s EJC affiliate, welcomed the removal of YouTube channel of notorious antisemite Dieudonné.
The YouTube channel of comedian Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala, repeatedly condemned for its antisemitic statements and that had more than 400,000 followers, was removed by YouTube after a decision by Google, the parent company of YouTube.
“The deletion follows repeated violations of our YouTube community policies” said Google France, which recalls that the online video platform “has tightened its regulations on ‘hate speech'”.
The decision to remove the channel was welcomed by the CRIF and by the Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF).
