CRIF and Licra denounce antisemitic rhetoric of French rap rising star Freeze Corleone

French rap singer, who has achieved huge success with his new album, is accused of antisemitism, conspiracy and trivialisation of Nazism.

The International League against racism and antisemitism (Licra) denounced French artist Freeze Corleone on twitter. The organisation published on twitter a video compiling some of the lyrics. They state “I come, determined as Adolf in the 30s”; “Like Swiss bankers, for the whole family, so my children would live like the Jewish annuitants” ; “Fuck Rothschild, fuck Rockfeller”; “We do not care about the Shoah”.

In a tweet, the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF) slammed the singer for its antisemitic rhetoric lyrics and its trivialisation of the third Reich.

CRIF President, Francis Kalifat, announced that he filled a complaint against the singer.

French Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, reacted on twitter : “Apology of Nazism and antisemitism … These words are unspeakable. At my request, the Ministry of the Interior is investigating legal proceedings as quickly as possible to prosecute the perpetrator. I am already calling on Facebook and Twitter not to spread this garbage.”
