Member of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet, received the support of the entire National Assembly after being targeted by an email of insults and threats of an antisemitic nature, now the subject of an investigation by the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office.
“”+Youpine+, +prepare yourself, soon the camps again”. Faced with such filth: denounce, file a complaint, never let anything go by,” wrote the Yaël Braun-Pivet on Twitter.
The Paris public prosecutor’s office told AFP that it had opened a preliminary investigation entrusted to the Brigade de répression de la délinquance contre la personne (BRDP).
Before the Assembly, Justice Minister Eric Dupond-Moretti had himself announced the launch of this procedure. “These words are to be vomited (…) these insults are addressed to the whole nation”, and “I wish it with all my heart: justice will be done”, he added before Mrs. Braun-Pivet.
“My family came to France to flee the Nazis in the 1930s,” said Mrs. Braun-Pivet, saying she was “particularly moved” to see “the national representation united” that day.
“Infamous and unbearable. All my support to Yaël Braun-Pivet,” also tweeted Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin.
