The Czech government has approved a new strategy to combat antisemitism for the 2025–2030 period

The Czech government has approved a Strategy to Combat Antisemitism in the Czech Republic for 2025–2030, following proposals from the Ministries of the Interior and Foreign Affairs.

The strategy addresses the growing prevalence of antisemitism and attacks against Jewish communities in recent years.

This rise has been confirmed by a report from the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, which found that eight out of ten Jews surveyed in Europe have observed an increase in antisemitic sentiment in their surroundings. Antisemitism is therefore recognised as a risk to society as a whole.

The Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic has welcomed the adoption of the strategy, expressing its gratitude to the Government of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and all those involved in its development.

The document integrates security measures, educational initiatives, and support for Jewish life, representing a significant step in protecting the Jewish community while reinforcing the values upon which democratic society is built.

While the strategy alone cannot halt the current wave of anti-Jewish hatred, it provides a solid foundation upon which public institutions, authorities, the Jewish community, and society at large can rely.
