Yohan Benizri appointed EJC Vice-President

Yohan Benizri, President of the Coordinating Committee of Belgian Jewish Organisations (CCOJB), the country’s EJC affiliate, was appointed Vice-President of the EJC at a meeting of the Executive Committee held in Vienna on 21 November 2018. Mr. Benizri was appointed by unanimous vote.

The EJC Executive Meeting was held on the margins of the high-level conference ‘Beyond Anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism – Securing Jewish life in Europe’ hosted by Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz and under the auspices of the Austrian Presidency of the European Council, which was addressed by EJC President Dr. Moshe Kantor.

In a statement, the CCOJB thanked the Austrian Jewish community (IKG) for its warm and professional welcome during the series of events held in the Austrian capital.
