Paul Sobol, one of the last survivors of the Auschwitz camps died of a aneurysm rupture, announces his son.
He was an outstanding reminder of memory, especially in schools with young people.
Belgian’s Jewish umbrella organisation and the country’s EJC affiliate, the Coordinating Committee of Belgian Jewish Organizations (CCOJB), reacted on Twitter : “CCOJB presents its condolences to the family of Paul Sobol, a leading witness of the horror of Auschwitz. The whole community is in mourning. His legacy and testimony will guide our steps.”
