CCOJB expresses its indignation at exhibition in the Belgian Federal Parliament

As notified to the Presidents of the House of Representatives and the Senate, the Coordination Committee of Jewish Organisations in Belgium (CCOJB) expresses its indignation at the exhibition on Palestinian youth that was inaugurated in the Parliament on 17 November 2022.

It joins the Forum der Joodse Organisaties (FJO) in calling for the removal of this exhibition, which is unworthy of being displayed in the Parliament.

The exhibition contains deliberately decontextualised allegations and conveys a vision that is contrary to the democratic values and principles of the State of Israel, within the framework of a state governed by the rule of law, particularly with regard to children, irrespective of their origin, nationality or religion.

It illustrates a hateful and dogmatic militancy which has no place in the “Palais de la Nation”.

By its presence in this high representative place of Belgium, it constitutes an unacceptable import of the very complex conflict prevailing in the Middle East.
